Consultancy Opportunity: Developing 2nd Phase AGP Proposal & Phase 1 Final Report

In this consultancy, you will be responsible for developing a proposal for the second phase of the UNJP on Empowering Adolescent Girls program. Building on the first phase, your proposal should incorporate new elements to address the evolving context. Your tasks will include reviewing the progress of Phase 1, conducting consultative meetings with key stakeholders, and developing a complete draft project document. You will also prepare the end-of-programme report for Phase 1, highlighting achievements and lessons learned.

Deliverables:

As a consultant, you will be expected to deliver the following:

  1. Proposal for the second phase of the UNJP on EAG, to be submitted to Global Affairs Canada.
  2. Powerpoint presentation summarizing the Phase 2 Programme Brief for popularization.
  3. End-of-programme report for Phase 1 of the UNJP on Empowering Adolescent Girls program, including main achievements and lessons learned.

Duration and Location:

This consultancy will be conducted in two parts. The proposal development phase will take place from 17 July to 2nd September, spanning 20 days. The end-of-programme report phase will be from 1 November to 4 December, comprising 10 days. You may work from the office or a combination of home and office, with occasional work at the Country Office in Accra.

Qualifications and Experience:

To be considered for this consultancy, the selected institution should have a minimum of 10 years of experience in conducting baseline surveys, statistical assessments, and program/project monitoring and evaluation, with a focus on gender-focused programming. Ghanaian institutions are encouraged to apply, and joint applications from a consortium led by an international firm with a Ghanaian institution as a partner are also welcome. Strong preference will be given to proposals that utilize technology-enabled data collection methods to optimize and expedite the data collection process.

The key personnel required for this consultancy include a team leader with a university degree in public health, gender, sociology, economics, international development, or social work. An advanced qualification in statistics or project management will be an advantage. The team leader should have over 10 years of experience in the development sector, with a track record in programmatic or evaluation components of gender-focused programming. Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and fluency in English are essential.
