Dikan is a non-profit organization committed to visual education through the advancement of visual storytelling. 

Our vision is not to be the only space for this but rather to take the lead in paving the way for others to contribute to the advancement of visual arts in Ghana and beyond. Our primary objective is to inspire, train, and support visual storytellers in Ghana and Africa.

Job Role: Production Lead

This role is part traditional producer and part project manager. The Lead Producer is in charge of defining project scope, developing timelines and milestones, planning and managing budget allocations, facilitating review, providing updates to stakeholders and ensuring project delivery requirements are met.

Responsibilities:

Background in understanding industry-standard rights and usage and copyright, along with the knowledge, experience, and ability to identify and flag possible legal pitfalls and guard against them.

Wrap projects and archive content on server

Provide briefs and statements of work to outside partners, managing all phases of production through delivery.

Plan and manage production, duties include creating shooting schedules coordinating deliveries, etc.

Serves as a link between the production team and channel teams and supervise the development and execution of the most effective and efficient content, reading and editing scripts, identifying set locations, and coordinating with camera crew, art directors, set designers, to create a consistent style, among other duties

Manage production budgets for large and small scale photo and video shoots

Bid, hire, and manage production and post-production partners for assigned projects.

Collaborate with production companies to ensure all shoots are executed accordingly and that all asset needs are captured.

Educational/Experience Requirements:

First degree in Film and Television Production, Communication or related field Minimum of three (3) years working experience in the film industry, writing skills, research and communication skills who understands the importance of using research findings to improve film contents

A creative mind -ability to conjure scenarios in your mind and bring them to life. The ideal candidate should have clear and excellent communication skills.

Excellent time management skills and the ability to multitask will be beneficial to candidates.
