Requirements for Independent Insurance Agents:

  • Active health insurance license (NPN required).
  • Current AHIP certification.
  • Possession of 3 or more state licenses before starting with Assurance.
  • Track record of compliant insurance sales.
  • Reliable computer, headset with a microphone, and internet connection.
  • Active E&O insurance.

Time Commitment:

As an Independent Medicare Agent, you have the flexibility to determine your working hours and location. We recommend committing a minimum of 20 hours per week to achieve success.

Assurance is obligated to include the salary range on position postings in accordance with multiple state and city laws. A reasonable earning expectation for this independent agent position is between $30,000 and $100,000 per year, depending on hours worked, commission structures, and earnings plans.

Agents should anticipate committing between 10 and 50 hours per week to meet the reasonable compensation window as an independent agent.

Eligibility to participate in bonus or commission plans is subject to program rules, with awards based on various factors including individual and/or organizational performance.
