Job Summary: We are currently seeking an experienced and skilled Executive Chef to oversee the kitchen and restaurant operations at our hotel. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of proven experience as an Executive Chef in a hotel setting, with exceptional expertise in both continental and local cuisines. Strong communication, multitasking, and leadership skills are essential for this role, as well as the ability to manage and supervise restaurant staff effectively.

Qualification Required & Experience:

  • Minimum Qualification: Degree/BSC degree in Culinary Science or a related certificate.
  • Experience Level: Managerial Level.
  • Experience Length: 5 years.

Responsibilities: As the Executive Chef, your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and directing food preparation and culinary activities.
  • Modifying menus or creating new ones to meet quality standards.
  • Estimating food requirements and food/labor costs.
  • Supervising kitchen staff and coordinating their activities.
  • Arranging for equipment purchases and repairs.
  • Recruiting and managing kitchen staff.
  • Addressing and resolving arising problems or complaints.
  • Giving prepared plates the “final touch” before serving.
  • Performing administrative duties related to kitchen management.
  • Ensuring compliance with nutrition, sanitation regulations, and safety standards.
  • Maintaining accurate time and payroll records.
  • Maintaining a positive and professional approach when interacting with coworkers and customers.

Requirements: To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications and skills:

  • Proven working experience as a Head Chef in a hotel setting.
  • An excellent record of kitchen management and culinary expertise.
  • The ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently.
  • Strong delegation skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • A keen awareness of cooking trends and best practices.

Employment Type: This is a full-time position.

Location: The position is available at various locations, including Teshie, Nungua, La, Sakumono, Lashibi, and Spintex.
