Job Summary:

As a Population and Development Associate Consultant, your main responsibility will be to provide technical and analytical support to the Population and Development Component of the PDE Unit. You will contribute to the implementation of programs and activities outlined in the 8th Country Programme and the Unit Workplan. Your specific tasks will include supporting data collection, analysis, and use, facilitating research agenda development, and tracking program results.

Qualifications and Experience:

To be considered for this position, you should have the following qualifications and experience:

• Master’s degree in Demography, Social Science, or Economics. • Minimum of 7 years of work experience in population and development, research, data management, and analysis. • Excellent knowledge of population and development dynamics and health system strengthening principles. • Research-related experience in issues and policies on data, population, and development in Ghana. • Experience in leading planning processes and good group facilitation skills. • At least one-year work experience with an international organization in population issues, data, and development. • Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills in English. • Experience in the development of manuals, protocols, training materials, and tools. • Good human relations skills and the ability to work with diverse groups. • Good knowledge of global and national information on data and population and development dynamics in Ghana and relevant institutions. • Good knowledge of the UN system and the development sector.
