Are you a seasoned financial professional with the ability to lead and provide budgetary and accounting support for a banking institution’s central account unit? Anum Rural Bank PLC, located in the Eastern Region, is seeking a qualified individual to fill the role of Head of Finance.

Main Purpose of the Job:

As the Head of Finance, your primary responsibility will be to lead the central account unit of the bank and provide essential budgetary and accounting support for the Head of Operations.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervise and allocate the work of the central account unit to ensure all tasks are assigned and completed within prescribed timescales.
• Manage and ensure the reconciliation of all internal accounts of the bank (ACHCCC, Ghana Pay, etc.).
• Oversee the payroll and utilities of the bank.
• Monitor and contribute to the preparation of financial reports, including weekly and monthly reports, annual accounts, and budget preparation.
• Manage the fixed assets and tenancy agreements of the bank.
• Identify training and development requirements within the Central Account unit and ensure they are met.
• Arrange and conduct training on accounting or financial systems issues as required.
• Collaborate with audit, tax, and other regulatory bodies to ensure the overall coordination of all financial accounting activities through monthly or annual reports.
• Prepare a half-yearly summary feedback of financial statement variances from the budget.
• Actively review and advise management on financial and accounting processes.

Qualifications Required:

• First Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Banking with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a related role.
• Membership in any of the following professional bodies: ICA, ACCA, CIMA.

Knowledge and Competencies:

• Proficiency in T24 banking software and other banking applications.
• Expertise in Central Accounts Banking Operations and Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS, BASEL, and others).
• Strong understanding of accounting and banking principles and procedures.
• Familiarity with tax laws and related regulations.
• Knowledge of Bank of Ghana regulations, directives, and other regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.

Job Vacancy For Internal Audit Officer Main Purpose of the Job

• Support and assist the Head of Internal Audit in the effective delivery of audit services for the bank Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist in the audit of electronic platforms • Assist in the departmental and agency audit of the bank

• Assist the head in conducting security audits to ensure that current security measures are adequate to protect against threats such as hacking or theft

• Assist the head in analyzing information security controls to identify vulnerbilities in applications network infrastructure and operating systems

• Monitoring the flow of data to ensure that it is moving through computer systems as intended

• Conduct operational, compliance, financial and investigate audits as assigned

• Ability to work with less supervision
