About Our Team

At Maple Star Oregon, we are dedicated to creating successful placement matches and fostering an environment where youth can heal and thrive. We serve youth up to the age of 21 who have experienced instability in their lives. We value diversity in our families and strive to ensure the best possible environment for each youth in our care. Currently, we are actively recruiting in the Portland Metro area, Salem, Albany, and Eugene.

Requirements for Foster Parents

To be eligible to become a certified professional short-term foster family with Maple Star Oregon, you must meet the following criteria:

• Age: Be at least 21 years old and reside in the state of Oregon.
• Sense of Adventure: Embrace the opportunity for adventure and personal growth.
• Identification: Possess a valid ID and Social Security Card.
• Technology: Have access to a working computer and high-speed internet.
• Humor: Possess a good sense of humor to bring joy and positivity to the lives of the youth in your care.
• Stability: Be physically, emotionally, and financially stable to provide a safe and nurturing environment for the youth.

As part of our commitment to supporting our foster families, we provide the following benefits:

• Monthly Reimbursements: Receive tax-free monthly reimbursements starting at $1,800 per youth.
• Support Line: Access a 24/7 support line for assistance and guidance whenever you need it.
• Personalized Support: Benefit from one-on-one staff support and weekly check-ins to ensure you have the resources and guidance necessary for success.
