Job Vacancy For CONSULTANT – Finance Assistant

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive individual to join our team as a Finance Assistant Consultant. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting the finance office in various financial duties. As a Finance Assistant Consultant, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Assisting the Finance Assistant with petty cash reconciliations, replenishments, and recording. • Supporting the preparation of monthly payment schedules for office suppliers, partners, consultants, and Youth Leaders Fellows. • Assisting with the preparation of monthly reconciliations on Valued Added Tax (VAT) and Project Advances Account. • Helping with fuel reconciliations, recoveries, and replenishments. • Assisting in the preparation of monthly cash projections to UNDP. • Reviewing and clearing DEX and NEX work plans or revisions. • Reviewing supporting documents submitted for processing and ensuring timely payment processing. • Following up with UNDP to ensure the release of payments according to the payment cycle schedule. • Assisting with the receipt and calculation of F10s (Travel Claims) within two working days. • Updating and monitoring the Invoice Payment Monitoring table. • Ensuring compliance with internal control processes and proper documentation and filing of financial documents. • Providing general research support and preparing reports on administrative and financial issues. • Assisting with audits, spot checks, or verification exercises as required. • Undertaking any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications and Skills:

To be considered for this position, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

• A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. • Proficiency in financial management software and Microsoft Office Suite. • Good analytical and problem-solving abilities. • Knowledge of financial procedures and internal controls. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to work effectively in a team and meet deadlines.
