Research Associate at Ruhr University

Ruhr University is looking to hire Research Associates for Molecular biology and physiology of plants.

Our research topic: The consortium DataPLANT develops innovative solutions for research data management in plant biology within the framework of the National Research Data Infrastructure (NFDI). The consortium is headed by the University of Kaiserslautern, the Albert-Ludwigs-University of Freiburg, the Eberhard-Karls-University of Tübingen and the Research Centre Jülich, with integration a number of partners who generate large amounts of research data. In particular, the focus is on automated solutions for the handling of research data as well as their annotation, processing and visualization. The main goal is to design such solutions, also within the framework of software tools, tailored to plant biological processes. A major challenge is the very large amounts of data that have to be processed in everyday research.
