Job Summary: The job is for an Originator who will be responsible for deal origination and execution, including agreements and complex structured transactions in the field of West Africa Oil and Gas. The role involves driving new and existing business growth, leveraging BP’s customer base, cross-bench offerings, and structured products. It also includes building strategic relationships to maximize value. The Originator will lead commercial transactions from inception to execution, requiring strong multi-tasking capability and proven commercial acumen.

Job Description: Key Accountabilities include managing counterparties, sourcing and delivering commercial transactions, deal approval, and providing market intelligence. Job Holder Requirements:

• Vacancy open to Ghanaian citizens only.
• Essential Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business, finance, or engineering.
• Essential experience and job requirements: Extensive experience in deal origination, deal structuring, and successful execution. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, financial understanding, and exposure to hydrocarbon valuation, commodity trading, and freight economics. Proven commercial and leadership skills, excellent communication skills, organizational skills, and adaptability.
• Other essential skills and knowledge: Competence in financial structuring, oil and gas commercial business development, trade finance, trading, and the ability to lead a small team and build internal networks.
• Key competencies: Strong commercial acumen, team working, influencing, networking, and interpersonal skills.
• Travel Requirement: No travel is expected with this role.
• Relocation Assistance: This role is not eligible for relocation.
• Remote Type: Hybrid of office/remote working.
